Educating every child and making higher education affordable

Ron led efforts to expand early childhood education in Western Pennsylvania. In Congress, he will continue to fight for increased funding, so every child has access to Pre-K. Ron believes that every child should have the opportunity to attend a public school that has the resources to provide a quality education, and he will work to ensure that public education is fully funded.

In Congress, Ron will fight to make the cost of college and technical college more affordable for every student by fighting for increased funding in federal grant programs and working to lower the interest rate for student loans. He supports programs that will give students more flexibility in repaying their loans, including by taking public service jobs in struggling communities.
